Ben Tre prepares for Week of Culture - Tourism Mekong Delta in Hanoi

From 19th - 23rd November 2015, the Week of Culture - Tourism Mekong Delta in Hanoi will take place with the topic of “Impressive Cultural Heritage - Mekong Delta Tourism”.

The event will be held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with People’s Committees of provinces and cities in Mekong Delta in response to National Tourism Year 2016 - Phu Quoc - the Mekong Delta under the topic of “Exploring the Southern Land”.

Taking part in the Week of Culture - Tourism Mekong Delta in Hanoi, Ben Tre province will introduce the typical tourist products of the locality. In addition, information on tours, routes, new destinations, and local special foods, etc also will be introduced to visitors in Hanoi.

The Week of Culture - Tourism Mekong Delta in Hanoi aims to introduce, promote and honor cultural values of Mekong Delta, highlight potentials of tourism, call for investment and create momentum for economic, cultural and social development for provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.

Under the framework of the week, there will be activities promoting for the Mekong Delta such as the exhibition with the topic of "Mekong Delta cultural colors and tourism", the art performance of traditional music and dance, folk games festivals, traditional occupations of the Mekong Delta, the cultural and culinary exchange with the topic of "Delicious food with specialties of the Southern River", the seminar "Preserving and promoting the value of attractive and sustainable cultural tourism products in the Mekong Delta". The roadshow program introduces cultural heritage, tourism products, and events series in 2016 in Kien Giang.

The Week of Culture - Tourism Mekong Delta in Hanoi is expected to be the highlight for Mekong Delta tours, introduce and attract more visitors as well as investors to the Mekong Delta.
