Tien Giang is a coastal province in the Mekong Delta, South Vietnam, with most of the province in the area of the old My Tho province. However, there is also a period of the whole area of Tien Giang province today and Go Cong area belonging to My Tho province. Tien Giang is a province both in the Mekong Delta and the Southern key economic region. The capital of Tien Giang is now My Tho city, located 70 km north of Ho Chi Minh city and 100 km south of Can Tho city along National Highway 1A.

Tien Giang has a coastline of 32 km, with relatively flat terrain, neutral and low acid alluvial soil along the Tien river, accounting for about 53% of the province's area, suitable for raising a variety of crop and livestock species. The strength of tourism is mainly due to historical and ecological cultural relics such as Oc Eo cultural relic, Go Thanh, and many tombs, temples such as Truong Dinh tomb, Vinh Trang pagoda, Buu Lam pagoda, etc. New ecotourism sites are embellished on Legend of Mekong 9 day tours such as fruit orchards in Thoi Son and Ngu Hiep isles, Dong Tam snake farm, Dong Thap Muoi ecological area, Go Cong beach, etc.
